I like working at Divine Mercy Academy because… each day is unique, and there is always a story to tell. I enjoy working with my colleagues.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe in cultivating a learning environment where students are able to be their most authentic selves. This requires teachers to be advocates for social justice and committed to understanding emotional intelligence. Willingness to listen is an essential quality in a school environment. Our after-school program is highly collaborative, and my goal is to work with my colleagues in order to give students a consistently excellent experience.
Fun Facts about me: I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Arts in English & American Literature and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in English Language & Literacy.
I hold a Teacher of English Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (9th-12th).
I am currently pursuing an additional Master of Arts in Irish & Irish-American Studies with a concentration in literature at New York University.
When I’m not in the classroom you will find me… catching a train to New York, reading books, and trying to do both without getting dizzy!
Ask me about… literature of any kind, theatre, research, or teaching. I find literature and theatre to be such necessary and transformative experiences; both played a vital role in my childhood and influenced my studies/career choice. I am often engaged in some sort of research for graduate papers, and I am happy to discuss their intersection with educational philosophy.

I like working at DMA because...it gives me the opportunity to use my communication skills, which was my college major. When I interact with the faculty, staff and students, it's great to be finally implementing my educational background.
Teaching Philosophy...I like guiding the students in overcoming any challenges that come up in doing their homework assignments.
Fun Facts...I was born in New York and spent the first 3 years of my life there in a place called New Windsor, in Orange County. (I don't remember too much).Hometown: I reside in Denville.
I like working at the Academy because… I like the friendly atmosphere within this faith-based community.
Teaching Philosophy: I am here to help the teacher as he or she instructs the students in the given subject. To do this effectively, I strive to be patient and to be understanding of and comforting to the students.
Fun Facts about me:
I was born in India.
I enjoy cooking, especially Indian and Italian foods, much to my husband’s delight.
I enjoy going on hikes with our dog Bodhi. I enjoy a wide range of music.
When I’m not in aftercare or the DMa classroom you will find me… enjoying peace and quiet at home while I re-energize my batteries and look forward to the next episode in carrying out my responsibilities as Director of After Care at DMA.

I like working at DMA because: I feel valued, not only by the staff, but also by the children.
Teaching Philosophy: The happiness & safety of the students are of utmost importance to me. Not only is it important to have the children respect adults, but also for adults to respect the children. I reinforce "what would Jesus do?", in the children's interactions.

When I'm not in the classroom...I'm at home with my dog (Stubbs), & my two cats (Binx & Valentine) or hanging out with my son (29) & daughter(34).
